If you enjoy a beer every once in a while, keep your money out of the casino if you plan to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Leave your purse, your money belt, and leave all money, credit cards and checkbooks out of the casino. Only take whatever money you expect to spend on alcohol, tipping and whatever pocket change you intend to throw away and leave the rest behind.
Pessimistic? Not at all. Realistic more like. You might have a profit following a drunken evening out with your acquaintances and be blessed enough to hook a marathon roll at a smokin craps game. Keep that adventure considering that it is as short-lived as it gets if you continually consume alcohol and gamble. These activities just do not mix.
Keeping your moolah at home is a little excessive, but defensive measures for drastic actions is a requirement. If you play to win, then don’t drink and gamble. If you are able to afford to burn your $$$$ without a concern, then consume all the no charge beer your stomach can handle, but do not take plastic credit and checkbooks to toss into the mix of chasing squanderings after your drunk as a skunk self loses everything!
Allow me to take this one step further. Don’t drink alcohol and then head online to gamble in your preferred internet casino either. I enjoy a beverage from the comfort of my condo, but seeing that I’m hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and have plastic credit in close proximity, I can’t consume alcohol and wager.
